58 Pontiac Laurentian 6 seater Wagon

This vehicle is outstanding! where do I start?............... It's a 58 Pontiac Laurentian 6 seater Wagon, it has covered a mere 70k since leaving the dealership back in 58, this Wagon had seat covers fitted from new and have just been replaced with transparent items leaving the spotless upholstery to gleam through. The Front Bench seat moves effortlessly just as it should and the Chrome levers look like new, the interior is simply superb, the chrome detail work on the dash is simply stunning, all original and never re-chromed........... it just doesnt need it, jaw dropping!!!

The headling is like brand new also as is the load liner in the rear, the rear seat folds just as it should to make a double bed loading space for the avid surfer/car show enthusiast, all courtesy lamps and dash clocks work just as they should also. The car has had a full Air Ride Technologies installation fitted to it via "Street Machinery" in Ohio, please check these guys out as they really know their stuff. The installation has been carried out to the highest of standards with the switch gear to operate each corner of the vehicle utalising a 58 Pontiac Electric Window switch............ so no after market eye sores here! The original "Wonder-bar" radio set fascia still remains (as per pic) but the backlit sight glass now houses a full LCD Display telling the Driver how much air resides on each corner of the vehicle in the air bags - this looks superb and is a very nice finishing touch.

The carpet set is original and unmolested, looks just as it should with its factory over matt set still in place, the trunk is just as it should be with the factory vinyl liner still remaining in place with its unused spare and tool kit found underneath. The Column shift works smoothly and the car retains its factory installed 2 speed power-glide which shifts smooth and positive just the way Pontiac intended. You would imagine that the glass on this car has been replaced as it is near flawless, it has not - and it is also original - incredible!

The bodywork/sheet metal work is fantastic, the underside has never been welded and the panel gaps are as Pontiac intended, super solid with no rot whatsoever. The paintwork is 99% original having some air brushing touch up in small places, the car has had "Safari Inn CA" sign-writing added as a Tiki based theme, accents in the paint have been "Rubbed" through in small areas to add "Patina" to it making it feel much more than a "Survivor".

The Chrome is in great shape and in my opinion requires nothing, it has aged very well and has its own "Patina" about it, it has no rust on it - it cleans up very well but and I feel re-chroming it would ruin its appearance as it suits the car perfectly. And for those with an "Eagle Eye" the surf board and Vintage Coca Cola Cooler both come with the car! (Cooler is mint!)

The Car has a small block 283 with a 2 speed Power Glide and runs flawlessly, this is a turnkey car in every aspect of the word and would drive you across the States with no issues whatsoever. The "Dynamo" was reconditioned last month by a specialist and the power steering pump (driven of the back of the Dynamo) was also recon'd.

The Brakes on the vehicle have been updated/uprated and Brand New Corvette Rotors and Callipers sit on each corner of the vehicle (285mm), it stops on a dime! The wheels & Tires are Brand New Coys, 18's up front and 20's in the rear, tires are Brand New Nitto's. The glove box houses the original hand book to boot!

This car is sat in my garage in the United Kingdom, I have imported several cars over the years, used them and then sold them on to either the UK or Europe, but can't help but feel this car needs to go back the US............. If you have a Business in the US and are looking for a Promotional vehicle then look no further, if you are a Surfer and want the "Baddest" ride at the Beach - look no further. The last 58 Safari that sold on Ebay achieved $68K a few months ago, they are not something you see everyday and now very rare, my car is a lot less. If it does not sell on Ebay then you will see it at Barrett Jackson in January where it will achieve a lot more than I am asking!

If you feel that shipping this car back to the US is something you do not want to leave to chance then do not worry, I have experience in this process and can help with the logistics, included in the price of the vehicle is delivery to Port in the UK, I can help you with your paperwork depending on your requirements to which port in the US you wish to use. You may feel that dealing with someone from Europe may be a risky investment for your money, but please bare in mind I deal with many US companies on a day to day basis and can give references for your peace of mind (owners of business's in different States). If you wish to check the authenticity of this item please call "Collins Bros. Jeep" 3101 W. FM544 Wylie, TX 75098 (972) 442-6189 EXT 226 Dennis Collins, I have dealt with Dennis (the Owner of the Dealership) for over 8 years now and he will be more than happy to endorse for me.

So there you have it, a very rare opportunity to acquire a unique vehicle, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask, I will accept payment in USD by bank transfer, NO Diamond Scammers from Nigeria please or you will be reported!!!!

Mail me for shipping quotations!!! Good Luck
