In 1969, there was only one SS package with a 396 engine. The L code on the trim tag designates this car as an SS. This car was equipped with the single fuel line tank to carb, designating a 375HP engine. The 325HP engines would have had a second return fuel line to the gas tank.
This car was nut & bolt restored to the highest standard using NOS parts for the restoration. Perfect dual stage repaint in the correct Lemans blue and NOS correct Deluxe black cloth & vinyl interior. New or NOS perfect chrome and stainless trim.

A good friend of mine had a factory post 300 series SS 396 post car back in 71 and I remember it from it's previous owner. It was Fathom Green, bench, 4 spd car. They wern't a big deal back in the day, and a hard sell vs. a hardtop SS 396 Malibu with all the goodies for very little more money.
