69 Beaumont at local auto wrecker

Not much do do on a hot day but pay a visit to the local wrecker and to my supprize a 69 Beaumont hardtop. Kinda striped down but if you look hard enough you can always come away with something. Got the V8 rad top plate , back shift linkage, head light switch and two wiper switch's. I was pulling the wiper switch and another one fell out from under the dash. Not much but $20 bucks for all and I was Happy. It has v8 frame mounts still on the frame. So might go back through the week with the proper tools. They are the 350 mount so might be worth grabbing. Still had the back seat but the two buckets are not from this car.  Odly enough it had 68 taillights.

Funny, I've seen several date confused Beaumonts over the last while, A highschool drag team with a 69 front but 68 tailights. They had an excuse, it'd been gutted for roundy round and the owner gave up. as he was passing the school headed for the scrap yard he decided to offer them a project and they accepted.
The auto shop class was sent out into the "wilds" of the Fraser Valley to scour the wreckers and that's what they came back with !
And at another strip, a '69 with 68 front end.."I like the look of the '68 grill better..." was the response..

My favourite local 'wrecker's had a complete 68 grill with the upper sheet metal hanging
on his wall for decades.
