need advice on 1966 beaumont disc brake conversion

Maybe this has been brought up before, but here I go. Has anyone found a disc brake hose bracket to use on single piston calipers on a 66 beaumont? This would fasten to the frame with the 5/16 bolt. The 68 to 72 dont directly mount the same.

I haven't done a conversion, but if I were looking to do so I would likely look to see what aftermarket is available for the 66 Chevelle in catalogues such as Year One, Detroit Speed etc.

I'll try to get some shots for you. When I purchased my 66SD the discs were on it and calipers,I left the spindles on it ,but I bought a kit from the states,True Connections.I have brand new spindles as well. All you would need is the master cylinder(don't know your plan on that,I have all new brake lines front to back also in a box.I'd have to think about what it's worth.Where are you located.

I converted my 66 to disc brakes many moons ago,but re-did everything about a year ago.Why are the 68-72 disc brakeline brackets not working for you?I assume you mean the brackets that hold the flexible rubber hose to the frame-correct?What I did to make it look kinda original is I used a 67 valve that sits above the frame and is already plummed for dual masters etc..then combined that with an original 67 metering valve low bowl dual disc master and a 9" booster. You can buy all the pre-bent lines from inline tube.Once completed the system looks like a correct 67 disc set-up from the engine bay-worked out very well.I will see if I have a pic of the brakeline bracket for you.

That is the info I was looking for John. I am using the 69 antiskid valve, although I had 67'8 to use also. I will use the 67 bracket you mentioned. You were building these assemblies some time ago. Are you still doing that? They looked good after the replating.Lorne
