Evaporust review
(Preview)
I think this stuff has been talked about before here, so forgive me if this is a rerun. I finally bought some Evaporust a few weeks ago (it was on sale for $26/3.8l jug) and tried it. Wow! That stuff is impressive. No smell, no effort, dropped the hose clamps I wanted cleaned into a pail and left it over nigh...

Does anyone have experience with using some sort of dip to replenish the coating on these little guys? I recall 35 years ago when I was a volunteer fireman we refurbished a bunch of our tools/equipment that had a coating similar to this stuff on handles etc. One of the guys showed up with a pail of some so...

A cool find...
(Preview)
You purists will say "cool" and the rest of you will go "huh, what's the big deal?" I pulled these off a wrecked vehicle this morning, they're in premium shape still, came off like they were brand new. I had a couple before but after I clean these up I'll have enough to do both heater hoses on my car. I love...

White line on wheels - 1956 Canadian Pontiacs
(Preview)
Neat little detail for the purists out here, my 56 Pathfinder Deluxe is mostly unrestored and I got it from the second owner, one family owned since 56. They are telling me the wheels were never repainted, and I can easily tell that the spare at least is untouched original with the original tire on it. Wh...

1962 V8 Valve Covers
(Preview)
The valve covers on my 283 for 1962 don't have any markings, so likely someone painted them over the years. Is the PONTIAC lettering from the factory a decal or painted on? If it is a decal can anyone tell me it they are readily available? If they are painted on can anyone tell me where to get a stencil?
