I always thought the 68/69 Skylarks with the weird body lines & Buick's conservative yet garish use of chrome were unattractive. The V6 was a Buick domain from 1962 - 1967. After that the Buick Special used the 250 Chevy straight six.
You know what? I actually like that car, plus I have sweet straight six & TH350 to drop in. Hmmm...

I guess the 250 was the economy version fo the mid size car. It worked well in full size cars and in Chevelles so why not Buicks. I like it. But I also liked the V6 Buicks and had a 65 Special Deluxe with a 225. They were vitrually ignored then but by the 80s the V6 became a staple of the GM FWD offering.
i need a set of those rims for mine, had em on my 64 skylark vert need em for my 69 skylark vert anyone on the west coast got a set for sale let me know!
"The car was completely undercoated at some point in its life and is starting to peel in places. As you can see there is the start of surface rust under the trunk mat and I have not done anything with it because I wanted people to be able to see it and not cover anything up. The body has no rust but there are places where there is on the inner fender liners. I will need to take the cover off the car and pull it out of storage to take better under hood pic's."
