A 440 and Hemi was only available.Too bad it's an auto.Neat car though. You'd have to put another $60k into it.Car might be worth close to $180-$200k when done.If it had a Hemi it would be more.

Those school bus yellow ugly Manitoba license plates in the picture are from the early 80's as I recall. Ugliest plate we've ever had in my lifetime.
I just can't recall seeing that car but I've heard rumours of an unrestored one in southern Manitoba somewhere.
There's also an extremely low mileage 340 AAR that was sold new in the little town of Rosenort where I work. Original owner's cousin has it, NOT for sale and he will never do a thing with it. It needs restored and apparently has miles of wonderful pinstriping on it!

Prices have dropped ALOT on these cars the last few years. I know of one a few years ago that had been in a garage fire and then put out in the woods and used for a garbage dumpster for a number of years that sold for $40 large. At 60 on this one and the reserve has not been met would tell me this is going no where. You can get one now for for just over 100 done.He should have sold it 5 or 6 years ago to be in the big $$$$.......
i know where theres a datona 440 auto in my area also in ruff shape, its green with white int and top, the guy has had it since i was a kid, still never seen it on the road in at least 35 years.
While we are on Wing cars anyone from the Barrie Ont. area remember this pace car? Pics are of the car from 71-72. and now restored to back in the day..
Hate to pick on a local guy, but seriously...a $60g+ car and he doesn't take any recent photos!!? (and never mind at least putting 50+ photos up of all the details and undercarraige) and puts words like "HOT RAT ROD GASSER" in the description?! Seriously... Very cool car, I haven't followed the values on them, but did hear a rumour about this car sitting in winnipeg, i never believed it...unless there's two? He must be just using ebay to advertise it, anyone serious will inspect it in person...
Prices have fallen back to earth on these cars in the last 3 years. They are not a cheap car to restore or get it done right. Always wanted one,but not bad enough to pay large bucks. I still get misty eyed over the one I didn't rescue from the wrecking yard back in 1975.

Hmm, that was interesting reading, to say the least. Nothing ever came of that?
A few years ago I was told that a COPO L72 69 Camaro also resides closed to Winnipeg, in crashed condition from many years ago. Not as exciting as a ZL1 but cool all the same.

and they say all the good cars have been found and nothing else is out there. ha ! a friend of mine bought a 427 copo block here in wpg a couple of months ago not knowing that is was one, and he got the info on it from a friend of his who is an engine builder here in wpg and he has a set of ZL 1 aluminum heads in his shop that he is holding on to till he finds the block.
i have no pictures, but last time i seen the green one someone had stoll the wing and the nose cone off the car, it was in sad shape. it was the SE model.
