1965 Beaumont/Chevelle L79 short Block

1965 L79 short block for sale. Just rebuilt this spring.  The block is # 3782870 with a pad stamping EC which shows it is a 327/350hp block for a 4-speed Chevelle. It is balanced blueprinted, polished crank, with . 060 oversize Keith Black pistons.

Have over $5000 into the motor asking $4000.

Also have a new MDS street fire distributor part #8362 for chevy.  Sales for $160 new asking $125.

any questions email or call 248-701-4396

It doesn't take long to spend 5K on a motor.

I guess if you have to pay 2k for the engine , ship it and then rebuild the short block.Still a  lot of cash for a short block!

I should clarify my statements. I understand when you are trying to get an engine with the correct dates and codes for your original build it becomes very expensive, but you still don't have a numbers matching car. Does this date coded engine add value to the car? I really don't know. I never even gave it any thought when I first responded and for that I apologize if I insulted anyone.

I still think that is a ridiculous price for a 327 short block though. lol. Hell, my complete 406 i built in the garage with forged rotating assembly, afr heads and pro systems carb cost just a few bucks more than that.

Carry on, I will get my sorry arse outa this thread

Some people want what they want, and you have to pay the price, while others want what they want for nothing, usually the guy that pays for what he wants, usually has the stuff!Rediculous as it may be,those are the facts.

I've spent more for less.. so.. a correct 65 L79 wouldnt be a stretch for me to spend the dough..
but I think I'm going electric..

Well,

I spent darn near $5000 all in total for my 327...but the question is could I seriously expect to get that for the engine, no. But I wish you well in getting it..it does seem to be a fairly rare engine...
