I thought all limo conversions where done on US cars only? This is likely a pretty rare one?

Thinking the same thing, garage is 36' ft long, would have to knock out the back wall & move bench as well.  Interesting car & looks to be in good shape. Hope it's a 327 in there as the 283 would likely not be up to the JOB????

Interesting. I didn't know anyone made a limo on the Canadian Pontiac chassis.

Here's a similar 62 Chevy that was at the National Impala convention in New Jersey week of July 23.

I did not look to see if it was on an X frame but I assume so.

I counted the seating - including the driver the 62 Chevy could carry 14 people.

I would think [& hope] that the X frame has been beefed up with some side rails from " Dominion Bridge" to support that whl. base & flex!!!!

8 door post? I don't think it would work too well as an 8-door hardtop. I am surprised to see it is a Canadian Parisienne. There must be some heavy bracing underneath to keep the body & doors in alignment over such a span. I wonder what it weighs? Yellowstone tour bus of a thing.

Back in the early 1970s there was an 8-door Pontiac I used to see in Ancaster. It was used as an airport limousine for Mount Hope (now called John C. Munro Airport). That one was based on a wide-tracking 1966 U.S. Catalina.

To answer the frame questions, I helped in the restoration of one of these for our local Impala club back in '94. Ours was a Stageway, based on a 62' Belair wagon, 6 doors, stock 2 on drivers side, 4 on pass. Sat 14 comfy with rear seat. Yes it is still an X frame, kinda crude, but worked. Drive shaft was a nightmare, 4pc based on stock 2 pc. Couldn't keep center bearings in it. Finally made a rear hanger bearing more like a truck and a slip joint on the rear most piece. Worked but don't put your foot in it, LOL. Car was originally a 327 3sp standard, don't know how they drove it. Worked fine with the 350/TH350 combo. Fun car, I even got use of it for our wedding.
