Yes they are the same but the GTO has the wood grain.

thanks so the tempast has the teil blue green back ground and has anyone baught parts from ames .

Yes Darryl that dash was not the same as stock, it was too bright and too glossy. James your bumpy
blue green dash is correct.

my dash has no face plate like wood grain or that type of thing it is just a bumpy finish in a tiel blue color.i saw this same finish on a 67 tempest .

There was a picture of a Beaumont dash that was posted on here a while back in that colour (teal-like) and I thought it looked out of place, but the Beaumont experts on here said that it was correct.

well i am going to take a shot and order a new one they said i could return it if it didnt fit as they could not say for sure . just no way i can see to redo the chrome around the gauges and make it look good for the same price as a repo .thanks for the help fellas its great to have a place to throw questions out and get knowledgable answers.

I had my dash insert for my 68 custom rechromed by Vaccum Ornametal Co in Romulous MI. They did an excellent job at a very reasonable price. The only thing was they wouldn't paint the rough part you speak of. They were on the web (www.vacuumorna-metal.com) so maybe you could have them quote the chrome plating and go somewhere else to get the painting done. I left mine just chromed but it is a little bright and definately not like original. I could never find out the paint code for that so if someone knows that I would like to have it do I can look at getting mine painted as well. I think with the green matting and the chrome hilights it would look fantastic.
