Correction on an Auto Dealer Update and the building across the street is correct for winnipegs Midway dealership

I guess I was too young to know this but I thought Midway Chrysler always was a Chrysler dealership. I think they should have stayed selling Chevrolet, its cool seeing that there used to be traffic signals on that intersection but that must have been before Broadway was connected to Portage Ave in a straight shot behind Midways building? This shows "Before" "After" and "Now" as the lot is getting changed into a green space. The lot almost became the main Canada Post Depot in Wpg The school wanted it as a sports field so Winnipeg agreed on a green space.

If  you know Winnipeg at all and the Midway dealership, then you might just know the Kromar Printing building across the street. Well before it was the printing company, it was a storage building. Pretty weird I came across the old storage company building and I knew exactly that it was the Kromar building. So I had to find a newer pic, the front door really gives it away......well the whole building does.

RE: Short History Lesson in Wpg

Wow,, I never knew that either. That pic is at least 1965 judging by the car turning left.

Cool stuff! Love the billboard on top the dealership (I wonder where it is now?).

My car's dealership is now a francophone bookstore in Sherbrook, Quebec:

The sign would be a great find, it would be massive and it had another one on the other corner too. Darryl, maybe you can read about your car in your old dealership.

Midway Chevrolet was in St Paul Minnesota, I visited this building after it closed in 2009. Midway Chevy sponsored a red 1963 Z-11 427 driven by John Hagen in 1963 & 64.

Gee, nice pictures. If you ever come across historical/time line pictures of McNaught Motors, put 'em on display. That's where my GTO is from.
