Sorry, let me clear what I meant.
I just meant I would pay $2000 (sure $3000 is fair too, Just don't want to pay that). But I would have to factor in the shipping costs as well like Pontiacanada said.

Otherwise, I can wait till one pops around here. No rush at all.

I don't know how much he is asking, but I did send an email, no response as of yet.

My intent is not to bash this ad but it is soo simular to other ads that I see and I'm left wondering what the seller expects.  Please let me explain;  when you post an ad and do not offer up any idea of what you think your item is worth.  How can you chastise us lookers for offering up a low offer.  I look at this ad and think well, I might like to own this car but it is not a BBC and not particularly high demand body style, so, maybe for $2800 I could fine a use for this car and get some enjoyment out of it.  Now, I have seen more than one of these for sale in that price range.  Well, now the seller really believes this is at least a $7,000 car and will not even consider selling for less.  That is his or her right.

If I make my offer, jeezam, I'm a low baller or worst yet just another "flipper", Ugh, Ugh the worst of the worst, a guy that has no sense of history, no respect for the unique and rare qualities of this car.

Please help me out here.  Accept the fact my value for this car is different than yours.

The point I wanted to make was when selling a vehicle, please give us some idea of what you consider the value to be or we may end up being a,,,,,,,,,,,,lowballer, test driver or tire kicker, if you want it have the cash or something worthy of my time to trade with! would be an easy and nice restoration or do as me and drive it as it is! I am not i a big hurry to sell it, only selling cause i have no time to work on it..

P.S.  I'm also tired of being told how easy every restoration is, if it is so easy, you do it.  And I don't really need the money, have years to wait on the right buyer and if I had time I could make this a great car for $20 and a weekend of work.   Please, make it easy on everyone, just post a price and drop all the disclaimers.

I agree with you forespeed. That's why I said, I MAY* be interested depending on the price. I thought to offer $2000. I wouldn't pay more for that.

I'm in agreement with this.   Just tell us what you want for it and I won't bother you if it's priced too high.  A lot of sellers don't seem to realize that if they were just straight up with the ad in the first place they wouldn't get half the hassles they get by being vague.  Also don't understand the "fishing" thing.  Seriously, is anybody going to give them an offer sight unseen based on a vague kijiji ad?  I wouldn't even go to look at a car if I had no idea on how much they wanted for it... picture this:  I like your car, would you take $3000 for it?  "Nope"  How about $3500?  "Nope"  OK, would you take $20,000 for it?  "Yep".  How about $15,000?  "Maybe".... biggrin

Yep, you have to take your shipping costs into account Mike.

Never thought much about it, but after reading what people would offer for this, then I guess I paid way too much for mine, and it was in worse condition.furious

It depends what year you bought it in Steve. Yours is also a CS 'vert. Convertible = more $$$.

he's asking $4500.

Going to have to pass, based on condition, plus shipment. Equals out of my budget.

Bought it in 04, $3600.   With the condition it was in, and being an undesirable car, most would have turned and run! .... in retrospect, I probably should have too biggrin

One person's "undesirable car" is another person's dream car. Do you have any close-ups of yours ... it looks nice.

I just looked at this car yesterday. I had cash in hand to buy but it is way over priced. $2000 would be a fair price for it. Message me if you want to know all the details.
