as the subject line states, i need help IDing a 427 stock bore domed piston i've aquired from brad. they are exactly what i'm looking for but i really would like to know who made them. the one on the left is a TRW 3888304 L72 piston and its for reference, the one on the right has a casting symbol under the crown of a capitol T or a 1 inside a triangle (depends how you look at it)
Just wondering if you are going to use an open chamber head with those pistons. Your stock ones are closed chamber but the replacements are open chamber.
found a reference to "how to hotrod big-block chevys on the internet for 427 open piston and hey i have that book, thanxs to jonno from ottawa. pg 101, so what i have now are early 70's TRW 427 stock bore open chamber piston. excellent
noticed that myself after the posted everything but only on pic 3. i had walked around to the other side of the desk for better lighting wasn't thinking of orientation at the time
