I can just see buying it and driving along reliving the great times we had:   Me in the back on the hump seat stuck between my brothers, choking on both my parents cigarette smoke, listening to the Ukrainian Hour on CFCW and lurching back and forth on the gravel ruts.  Seatbelts were just extra lumps on the seat to have to sit on.  How did we survive?

I know most my hours in that car made me pretty queasy, what with all that and tryiig to read comics at the same time.  Its kind of strange that I even like these cars actually...

very similar to a gold one that was in Calgary Pick-n-Pull about 5 years ago.  It was in their "Fantastic Five" section where you can see them, but not remove any parts until Saturday morning.   Rick (67rag396), Werner and I were there Saturday at opening and attacked it.   It was a 4 bbl, turbo 400 car, and I grabbed the trans vacuum line, trans yoke, 12 bolt diff yoke, and heavy duty front sway bar.  I should have grabbed the intake as I could have sold it at a profit.

What a nice clean car!  I know it's "only" an old 4-door, but man, that's they way I remember them back in the day.  I hope it's preserved as a reminder of the way it really was (i.e. not 95% of the cars on the road in the sixties were hot-rodded 2-doors, as tends to be the ratio at most car shows). 

It's tempting, I must say... smile

I love this car, got a soft spot for the 66 as I owned one just like this but dark blue. It got destroyed in a farm yard fire that destroyed the barn the car and garage along with all my tools and parts I had collected including a 396 I just got back from the machine shop.
