Carl, I bounced that idea off some guys here and got gunned down!!!! Better keep that thought to yourself!

(But I know what you mean, this car would be COOL with a 427 and a Muncie!!!)

I'm sure he will enjoy it    But...  it would be one of the only ways I will ever find another 66

I am keeping the 4 speed and the big block for the "future"

A good looking 66 more door with 427/454  4 speed  nice sound for under 7-8 g would be awsome

I am back and forth, i love the reliabilty of the 283, but like the idea of making the back tires go away in smoke with a big block /4 gear, , i have a Lt1/4sp auto from a 96 cop car that ive considered?

I love that we all have different opinions for this car!

I would never put in the LT1 because it looks so incorrect for the car!

And for the record, I am a big fan of LT1's, I've had numerous LT1 cars over the last dozen years.

I agree with Carl 1    Either Big Block it  or forget it...    (2cents)

I am hoping it won't be long before we see it as the feature car....

I'm sure Todd is already on that!

That looks fantastic!!  Please post more pics when it's convenient (and the weather's better... hee hee).

I love time capsule cars like this.  They are becoming harder to find all the time because people want to put big blocks in them (stick%20with%20poke.gifat the brothers Carl... biggrin).

Great purchase, I'm glad that a true appreciator of Canadian Pontiacs got it.   I had seriously kicked around the idea of getting it myself, but didn't act on it...

All ways have never been able to leave the "Toy" alone, right from my 1st car 55 chvy 2dr. post 6 cyl that became a V8 car with tri power after i drove the 6 cyl home & hated it!!!!!

You got me all wrong.

I only do that to 6 cylinder cars.

If it's a factory big block car, I strip the big block out of it and part the car out (even 427 convertibles.....)

Nothing wrong with having some fun with these old cars, and hey, you had to get the 427s from somewhere... wink

the rain finally stopped, so i gave it quick mop and glow, it needs a bit of lovin, some rips and stains in the interior, ill reuse the cloth inserts when i redue the vinyl..

some chips and sctraches, but no real rust and the trunk and underside is very solid and dry, the g78 tires are  a nice touch..
