Replacing a wiring harness

Has anyone every used a Painless wiring replacement harness? I have some electrical gremlins and would like to just modernize the electrical system while adding a few more circuits for use down the road. Anyone have experience with this kind of job?

We put one in my friends 67 Camaro we restored awesome kit every wire is labeled and very straight forward to install. However his car we restored from the ground up so it was completely bare , it will take a while to strip your car of all its wire then start with the new kit. The kit was well worth the money!

I looked into that but changed my mind because they wanted me to change my Alt to one with an internal regulator and my headlight and ignition Switch
still looking for one that gives me fuses (newer style ) but leaves rest stock..

I haven't really decided yet what I want to do. But I have heard really good things about painless harnesses so I figured it was a good place to look. Body is coming off anyway for frame paint and suspension updates, and I really want to modernize essential systems for reliability so this seemed like a no brainer.

Thanks for the feedback guys, much appreciated.

Just ordered an American Autowire kit for the Camino. Should be here in a few weeks. Then the fun begins....

I used an E-Z wiring KIT, for the 52, worked well, plugged into late model strg.col. but you can order it for stock. I think they showed the wiring for Stock Volt.reg too. Can't check that right now as I'm in West Virginia right now!! Was very pleased with the E-Z everything worked when powered up & took about 2 days to wire up,follow instruction on "laying" out the harness on floor 1st. & figure out what you need,or might need in future, & don't need, then go to it!!!!
