""'READ CAREFULLY """ Its hard to find a Canadian Made Car that is 60yrs old in this kind of condition. Yes you could find these cars from $800-1700 in a field that have been sitting for many years, with THOSE cars you will need to replace the floor pans, trunk pan, quarter panels and rockers. They would most likely have missing or badly damaged trim and missing windows with a totally messed up interior. They would have a non running engine, a bad fuel system and the brakes would be shot as well as the wheels if they are still even on the car. So you could buy that car for say $1000, put in $7000-9000 to get it put together with uncountable hours of sweat, blood and tears wishing that you would have bought my 98% original 1952 PONTIAC for $4600 that is already safetied by an accredited shop, has new brakes, new front end parts, newer tires etc, etc, etc So SAVE half your money, buy a TRUE SURVIVOR that has been well taken care of its whole life. Be the next caretaker of this Manitoba country car that has only been in the city for 5 months. Serious offers only $4600 O.B.O. I will not reply to anymore spam emails, phone calls only please. No calls before 9:00 am and none after 9:00 p.m. Thanks

Chris that is a great ad, well written and to the point. That is one sweet car there and i hope it goes to a good home. All the best of luck in selling your 52 to the right person. George.

Thank you George, it needs a great home but if it doesn't sell by the end of the month, I will take it as a sign to just keep it smile

1952 Pontiac Kijiji New Add, Kijiji's stupid

Well I can't stand Kijiji, I keep getting stupid emails from spammers and know it all's, i had to remove my phone number bevause of the stupid texts messages. Here is a reply I got this morning, i thanked him for his positive words

Hello! The following is a reply to your "1952 PONTIAC FLEETLEADER SPECIAL- W/ SAFETY "NEVER A FIELD CAR"" Ad on Kijiji:

From: pete(pontiacpete@yahoo.com)
Not hard to find at all. Lots of 4 doors are in good shape. Sedans are the most plentiful, and least valuable body style.

You can respond to "pete(pontiacpete@yahoo.com)" by replying to this email.

You've just got to find the right buyer. It's not a great time to be selling a car as the new owners will have to store for winter right off the bat!! Many cars were "for sale" at the Charleston show, & some at greatly reduced prices & still can't sell or 'give away"!!! I was looking at a 35 Packard Street Rod Coupe for $35 grand, & estimate it's asking price is for 1/2 it's build cost,& owner said not a "BITE" in mths. It may be a LONG wait!!!!!!

I'm not in a rush to sell the car but I do want more of a project that I can do a full custom interior of my style in. I just don't have the heart to mess with something this original, I enjoy driving this car and hearing all the stories from everyone from 6yrs old to 90yrs old

Chris, here is a post of mine from a couple of weeks ago. I understand exactly how you feel about the responses and inquiries you are getting.

"I have to say however that is gets very frustrating when selling on Kijiji or other classified lists so some of those phrases are totally justified in my opinion. I have never met so many morons, idots, jacka$$es and inconsiderate people as when advertising auto parts or cars for sale, honestly I understand why some of those phrases are there, like no tire kickers, time wasters, no lowballers. I recently had a guy show up in a rusted out Toyota Crapolla coming to look at parts I offered as Free. He started complaining about them and saying they weren't for his year of car. I take pretty good phootgraphs and had 6 good shots of the parts. I quess he couldn't read the 1969 in the ad. He left in a huff like I had wasted his time. What a loser. Another person came to look at some glass, again I had several very good photos and of course started finding fault with this 44 year old salvage yard car glass I had. Even said I really need tinted. I couldn't help myself and I asked him if he saw my ad and photos. Yes he said. I asked him if he somehow thought that it would be miraculously tinted in the time it took to drive to my house. I really pitty those working in retail and dealing with the public on a daily basis". - Rat Boy
