hey everyone, I have finally found an original shop manual for my 55 pathfinder, it has the 261ci with the old slushbox behind it. this is the first 2 speed powerglide equipped car that ive owned (all others hav small blocks with overdrives!! lol) and as I was reading through the manual I noticed that in the Tranny section it says that the Tranny fluid to be used should be a certain weight of Gear Oil. What I want to know is our current ATF good to use or bad to use in these old 2 speeds, like i said ive never owned one before and would hate to ruin the tranny in any way.
just curious if anyone knows anything about this, im sorry I cant remember the weight ratio of the oil in the manual, im at work and not at home!! lol
any info is greatly appreciated!!
cheers
