The SD ones are the only '68 things I've got.. In '72 they went on my front fenders,same sort of placement as the chrome SS ones on a Chevelle.. I'd taken the decals off in '70 when I bought the car, a bit less in your face thing, then in 2000 when the body was redone had the holes filled and back to the SD-396 decaling. I think the SD crests cost me either $5.45 the pair or $12 the pair back then..
