One of 17 convertibles and one of three with the 455 CI/4-speed drivetrain, this 1971 Pontiac GTO Judge convertible has been judged by the GTO Association as an American Gold Standard car, reflecting its rarity, finish and plethora of factory optional equipment. It is powered by a matching numbers 455/335 HP WC code engine complete with the correct 197 heads in a detailed engine compartment and displays beautiful finishing in its Quezel Gold paint, chrome and stainless trim, new rubber and tight, wrinkle-free convertible top. Some highlights of the 31 optional features include a rare close-ratio 4-speed, variable-assist power steering, power front disc brakes, G70x14 tires, hood-mounted tach, heavy duty battery, power drivers seat, windows and locks and air conditioning. Its frame-off restoration was photographed and videotaped in detail, adding to its extensive documentation that includes PHS papers, two original build sheets and the original shipping record and invoice.
