Hi guys, its kind of neat to see a guy who like the Parisienne grilles rather than the Grande. I have about three Parisiennes with (I think) good grilles if you want to swap. I would just trade parts as i would like to have another good Grande grille for a spare.
I think the swap is pretty easy although I haven't done that kind of swap. I do know that the nose pieces are one piece cast pieces and are different from each other. At the least the nose piece has to be swapped for a Parisienne one and then the Parisienne grilles are attached to it. I believe there is also a bolt that runs from the nose piece end to each fender. You'll also have to reinstall the Parisienne park lights into the bumper.
I'll have to take a look at my parts cars to see exactly whats involved I'll get back to ya.
As for buckets I have no spares either. My parts cars were already stripped of those if they had'em.

How much work would be involved to replace the 66 grills? Can it be done with just a screwdriver replacing the grill sections or does that whole nose piece have to come out? A days work?
Second, is there anyone nearby that can stop in and take a look at this and give an opinion. Saskatchewan is a long way for a look. pictures dont show the details. I happened to be out in Ottawa when that blue one came on the pages in Oct from SW of Ottawa an hour. So we went for a look and boy does paint hide a lot. So does shadows and small pictures. The paint over the rust was evident at closer inspection. Interior was all rusted. it needed a lot of work.
Anyway this is something I am interested in. A tthis price a guy can afford to big block it. I gotta call the guy and see if it has buckets first though. Need the buckets and console. Its not a CS so it may not have - part of the reason its reasonably priced too maybe.
I don't have the buckets but I have a complete floor shift automatic console conversion in red if that helps you make up your mind at all on this car.
Buckets and console were only available in Custom Sport (standard equipment) or Grande Parisienne. Unless it's been changed, it would be a bench seat car.

The console is a red console from a 66 Grande Parisienne. I just removed it from the car a few months ago. I am converting to a 4 speed. It's the console with wiring harness, shifter, shifter rod, special floor hump, console mounting brackets, everything.
The buckets were sold here to site member for his project.

OK, took a walk to the parts car row and took some pics of the Parisienne setup. For sure you'll have to drop the bumper (4 bolts) and work from the bottom. You have to take off the valence and then unbolt the Grande setup and reinstall the Parisienne setup. Then you'll have to screw in the bumper mounted signal/Park lights. You have to get around to the front fender to attach the side bars of the Parisienne cast piece as well but thats not too hard. You have to unbolt the top bolt and sort of bend the plate that cover the back of the headlight to get access but you can bend it back and reattach it without damage.
I'd say about 4 hours work if you take it easy and your bumper bolts (or others) aren't too rusty.

thanks to 66 Grande Guy for the detailed analysis on the grill swap. I will keep that in mind. Regarding the ad - I called the guy and he said it had a lot of rust issues that the pictures dont show and hence the price. He said he had 2 guys coming to look at it last weekend. I guess they werent impressed if he dropped the price. Not the type of work I am into. Ill keep dreaming and looking for one that has already been done. Or the lottery comes in then I will order one done for me. Lloyd
