I've had this thing on my mind so last night i emailed to see if it was still for sale. Guy actually wrote back today to say it was. Has had a couple people interested but no money in his hands yet. Ad says sold but he emailed today so i left a message for him to call tommorow before i decide to go since it is an hour and a half away. What should i be looking for in ways of rust/rot on this car. They say we're supposed to get a bit of a snow storm tomorrow. I sure hope it holds off or isn't too bad. I have a feeling this car may be sitting outside.
heals of fenders, bottoms of doors, all the way around rear wheel openingings, trunk pan, floor pans, floor supports, rear frame rails, hood on top at front - if its reasonably solid its gotta be worth that --- why pull the six out ?

Better take a battery pack if you want to hear it run

Unless it's a lot worse than it looks you should buy it for that money. If I was in Ontario I'm pretty sure I'd already own it.
go geter Randy looks like a great project car it will have some rust but oh well as lng as the rear springs arnt in the trunk looks good for the dollar....and its got P/S
'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
Car was sold. Funny i wondered because i got the email that nobody had been around with money then i saw ad said it was sold so i emailed first for the guy to contact me before i made the trip. Luckily he did since it was a ways away and then we got the snow yesterday. I'll just keep looking. Thanks for the info and support on this one.
Just found out where the old supercharged Nova went to ..
In the Joe's Transmission TNT Super Series, Jim Thomson also took his 1972 Chevrolet Nova to a runner-up finish on Saturday and then got his very first Series win on Sunday.
"I raced a long time ago and got out of it to raise a family.
But after my boys grew up and moved out it was time to look for a car.
I found this Nova in Windsor that needed a bit of work
and it turned out to be a car originally owned and raced by Russ Parker."
If you\'re a fan of the lightweight, heavy-hitting Nova but have a predilection for Pontiacs, this unusual Ventura II is probably right up your alley. Thanks to the Carousel Red paint and a few well-chosen upgrades, this is the car that could have been. With an impressive power-to-weight ratio, its\' no slouch in the performance department, and the styling has aged well. Light and muscular, the Ventura gets all the Pontiac design cues right, from the split grilles up front to the hood scoop, and ties them all together with an extremely nice finish. The hood scoop was expertly grafted onto the air cleaner, and pokes through the hood in true \'60s fashion, but beyond that the sheetmetal is all stock. Fit and finish are quite good, and with the work being completed within the last few years, it still looks fantastic. You can still see a bit of Nova DNA in the details, such as the taillights which are wider but should look quite familiar, and both bumpers have been refinished in bright chrome. Matching its slightly more upscale image, the Pontiac Ventura got a tidy interior featuring bucket seats and a center console. The tan upholstery is a refreshing change from the usual black, and it appears to be in outstanding original condition, suggesting that this car has been loved from the beginning. Only the dash seems to be showing its age, but given the rarity of the car, it\'s nice that everything hasn\'t been stripped and replaced with reproduction equipment. A pair of auxiliary gauges have been mounted on the console and canted towards the driver and there\'s an AM/FM/CD stereo, but otherwise it is just as the General intended. The seats show very little wear, and the back seat in particular looks brand new. Speaking of brand new, the trunk sports a fresh mat, a rust-free floor, and a matching Rally II wheel wearing what appears to be a vintage bias-ply tire, along with a full jack assembly. The nice thing about that shared platform stuff is that the high-performance goodies all bolt right onto this Ventura. As a result, there\'s a stout 350 cubic inch V8 under the hood, fully dressed with matching orange paint, that oversized hood scoop, and a Holley 4-barrel carburetor. It also sports the unusual combination of power steering and factory A/C (still using R12-nice!), but no power brakes. Long-tube headers feed a pair of Flowmasters, so it sounds threatening both at idle and out on the road. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission spins a 10-bolt rear with a chrome cover and a 3.85 gearset on a Posi inside. The floors are shockingly clean, ending any worries about rust or previous accident damage, and the way it goes down the road will convince you that this is nothing short of a legitimate muscle car. Even the Pontiac Rally II wheels look right, and now wear 235/60/14 BFGoodrich T/A radials. Offering a great look, lots of performance, and that unique Pontiac look, this Ventura deserves a good look from Pontiac guys looking for something a little different. Call today!
