67 Acadian L79 option 15" Ralley rims.

I just bought a set of very nice use Torque Thrust D's for my 67 Acadian and wondered if my 15" Dog dish style ralley rims are worth selling. have no further need of them and don't want to store, just more stuff in the corner. They have 195's front and 235's rear. Anyone have any ideas, still on car stored for winter.

good looking wheels Rick, they are still worth some thing for sure. I would buy them if you were closer

Thanks, I just wasn't sure how desirable they were. They are a nicer wheel to me than the Camaro style center cap, or at least on my car. Wasn't sure if I should keep the originals and maybe swap back and forth every so often just to confuse people. The T.thrust D's I bought are a 14" so have to round up rear tires and can only find a B.F. Goodich in a 245, which as far as I can see will still clear, has 235's right now with a bit of clearance. have to measure backspacing in accordance to the ralley rim and see how close the 2 are to each other for offset, may have to stay at a 235.

I haven't looked at that and is winter here, car has a car cover on it but 2 ft of snow all around it. Would have to pull a ralley ring off. What should I look for in reference to letters.

There will be a code stamped by the valve stem like "YA" "DC" etc. Also there should be some other smaller stampings around there with a date code.

When you say dog dish style, does that mean that they will accomodate regular GM dog dish caps? (I know my standard vette/camaro style rallys do not.)
thx

Well I tried to look but the snow is just to deep and parked to close to motor home, thought I could see a #5 on one rim, have to pull rings sometime and look closer after i dig a bit of snow out from the one side. Pretty deep. Who's idea was this...oh ya mine :)

Yup, I can see that they're different that the sombrero. I always thought that the rally rims were all the same and that standard dogdish caps would fit on standard steel rims, but not on these rally style? Any guidance would be appreciated. (Reason being is that I would love to put my Beaumont dog dish caps on a rally style wheel.)
thx

So your saying a hat/sombrero syle wouldn't fit my rims because they have the dish style, that I wouldn't know. Not going out in the snow again, haha.

Thanks for the feedback.  I wish I could say something along those lines, but I really don't know.

My guess, and it's only a guess, is that none of the "Rally" style wheels will accomodate the standard GM dogdish caps.  However, I'm hoping that someone in the know can chime it to confirm or deny.  (Personally, I hope they do, as they'd look great with the factory dogdish.)

Anyone?...

I don't ever remember the dogdish style until I bought the Acadian this summer and do like them better, so clean looking or at least on this style of car. Haven't seen them on any other car yet. Still not sure if they are worth selling or just saving to swap back and forth, find out in the spring I guess.

         They are not  DOG DISH

They are police flat caps,  and came on rally wheels on B-Body  police cars

The Corvette flat caps and  Monte Carlo/ Corvette 68 up fit as well

Dog dish caps fit standard steel rims

These caps are not flat, maybe in picture but up close are round like a bit of a moon cap but are on Ralley wheels. So what ever they are called are my favorites so far for stock ralleys.

Thanks for the confirmation Carl.  (However, I was somewhat hopeful of the opposite.)

I'd keep them. Even though you have new Torque Thrusts (I like them) they still look nice on your car!

rally wheels were 14 inch on Novas and Camaro and Impala      15 inch on Corvette  and Monte Carlo  68-69 Z28 Camaro and some 15 inch on Impala and Cdn 2+2 parisienne

You can buy 15 inch rally wheels, and trim rings, and Police caps.....anytime

Well thanks for any help on what they are and off. I think you guys are right, may not be original but sure a good fit to the car. Think I will just keep them and have both, try to be a bit hoarder for once. Nice to have choices.
