Cant find 1960 Laurentian, engine manual, 6 cylinder inline

Hi guys

Im the lucky owner of a original 4 door Pontiac Laurentian 1960, vin:73x, six cylinder inline.

49760 km on the clock.

I live in Denmark.

The car was imported to Denmark from Canada in 1960 and ran as a limo for almost 14 years.

I cant find a manual on my engine. I got the workshop manual on a US Catalina but that with the V8.

It still has the original single barrel rochester carb.

Can someone help me out, maybe with at link for a download or a dealer on ebay?.

Also looking for a service kit for the Rochester carb which one do I need?.

Thanks...

Best,

Torben

Torben

The manual for your car is actually more than one. The main manual is the 1958 service manual.

Then there is a supplement for 1959, and after that there is another supplement for 1960.

Feel free to contact me as I have these and would sell them if you like.

Hi all

That for your welcome and help.
Looking foreward to be aboard.

She is right now parked by the local mechanic in a nice and heated workshop.
A little problem with the MOT.
He went crazy with the rust hammer and found 2 small rust holes.
Stupid me booked a MOT test on a monday morning !"@

I have ordered 4 new door skins and a new headliner at SMS Auto Fabrics. Im looking forward to get it installed.

I wiil post more photos when I get the car back.

Its with the synchro-mesh transmission.

Next challenge is to get the gas gauge fixed. It constant on full.

Okay...-)
My english is proberly a bit rusty.

They gas gauge is always on full with and without ignition on.

Regarding to the tread the gauge could be broken.

I'll start with the ground connection check and take it from there..

What kind of door skins did you order? For what type of car?

Your gas gauge could be a ground (earth) problem.

For a Pontiac Laurentian, 4 door sedan from 1960.. they come with the cardboards included.

Have seen a photo  - looks allright - same pattern and color.

I will check the ground - where is the critical point?.

Ohhh, inner door panels. I thought you were getting outer door skins.

Besides a ground, it could be a break in the brown sending wire. See here: http://www.chevytalk.org/fusionbb/showtopic.php?tid/187447/

Don't worry, my Danish is non-existent. My car is rustysmile

I would start with the wiring first.

1. Broken or disconnected brown sending wire

2. Disconnected or no power to gauge

I just was looking in my junk mail and I found an email from you. For some reason my account sent it to junk. I'm sorry, I had no idea you had replied.

If you are interested in the 3 manuals, contact me please.

Thanks
Carl

Hi Carl

$50 is fine.
Im a little concerned regarding the shipping cost.
Will you check the shipping costs to Denmark - thanks.
I can wait a month or more if shipping cost will be lower that way.

Thanks,
Torben

It looks like 63.94 to ship 8 pounds, 3.5" X 8" X 12" to Denmark, according to Canada Post. Has anyone ever shipped something there? Does that make sense? I was actually thinking it could cost more.

Great car in great condition, from one Laurentian owner to another! Is the car a dark dark green or black? And more pictures would be awesome.

Thanks, its black
It has been awaiting a small rust repair in the local workshop for a couple of month.
The workshop owner is happy to have in the garage.
When I (if I ever) get it back, ill opload some photos.
