The one angle looks like the small pitting is still there, hard to tell sometimes on chrome pictures.

Is it just my eyes or is there still alot of small pits on it?  I would be emailing him to see if that emblem has as many pits as what appears on the pictures.  Chrome can be deceiving on a picture but some chroming just makes it shiney.  Hopefully it is perfect, just would double check for that kind of money.

It's up to $225 plus $30 shipping with 18 hours to go, how high should I go on this?

Should have zero flaws if it has been rechromed, otherwise why do it? Normal flaws are for pieces that are original.

Is it actually worth the cost ... almost 260.00 (shipping included).

Definately a rough chrome job.

have you ever seen a original piece if you can find 1 they are not perfect lol, there are flaws in them, rechroming dosn't take away the flaws just makes them shiny.

A GOOD RECHROMING SHOP WILL USUALLY REPAIR IMPERFECTIONS IN AN ITEM, TO NOT DO IT IS LIKE LIPSTICK ON A PIG.

why rechrome it? hmm to get it back to its original condition.
that is what we are doing right, trying to restore to original condition.

NOS or original didn't have pitting.  That happens during its lifetime.  Re-chroming is usually to get rid of a couple things, one being the imperfections and the other one is the shine.  To me one is as important as the other otherwise I agree with the lipstick on the pig.

In my hunt for a nice hood emblem I would consider it a nice piece;flaws and all .Try to find one in one piece is amazing. Just my opinion.

Hence the reason for the upgrade, It looked better than three empty holes in my hood.

I see randyjr's friend has some more rechromed emblems for sale. Curious how the chroming turned out on them.
