Sorry for the delay guys. Mine is a 65 SD V8. BC car and solid. Still has original pinch welds on the rockers!! Was a 4 speed car that some on changed!! to bad would love to change her back to std.
What colour was your interior? I probably ended up with your console if it was black! I bought a black 4 speed console out of Washington, thinking it was a Nova console and it would have to do for my SD. When I got it, it is an Acadian console.
Playing the percentages, there was likely less than 25 4 speed 65 Canso SD's ever made, so when you want to change your's over, the console will be almost impossible to find.

I have never actually seen one in real life. I have the console in mine, and my nephew has another console to put in his for the conversion, but that's it. Seen those two consoles in my life, never a real documented 4 speed SD.

Well Update #2 after piles of block sanding here is 2 good coats of PPG high build primer. first coat then 220 grit, 2nd coat 400 grit . All done in my small home garage. Next Saturday take her to my buddies booth for a full day of work. Two tome paint Candy brandy wine on the bottom and gloss black on top with a painted silver stripe 1/8 between the two. All with PPG base clear
I have to run and check to make sure 919 is black interior but like you say, it appears it was. Your car was built 2 weeks after mine. That's the first PROVEN factory 4 speed 65 Sport Deluxe I've ever seen. I got interested in them when I bought my first Sport Deluxe at 16 in 1974. I wonder if GM would tell you how many 4 speed SD's were made if you got the documents for it? I am betting less than 25.

The firewall tag on the passenger side under the hood. It has info on it such as build date, colour codes, options, will verify it's a Sport Deluxe, confirms the V8 status vs 6 cyl, stuff like that.
Here is an example of one-
