Would you be willing to post a picture of your cowl tag? I'd love to see what it has/had for options and build date etc.
ÃÂ Sure can you are refering to the on
Carl you just made my day!!! in the garage sanding and came in fer pint so it was worth the stop to dusty up my lap top!!! all I need to find now is where I can get a 4 speed gear box and pedal assy for the clutch and brake!! to put icing on the cake look at the registration location!!! btw check out my videos on U tube link and thanks for all the info!!
So that's a Lethbridge car... Hmmm. There is a site member here who is from Lethbridge and he has a 65 Sport Deluxe, although I don't think he's logged in for a while. At least, if he has, I haven't seen him posting here. I think his name is Mike. He has a pretty nice 65 SD project car.
That really is cool what you have. I knew sooner or later I'd come across one that is a factory 4 speed but it took almost 40 years! I've likely seen in person or in ads about 20 SD cars ever and all automatics until now.
Try TinMan in BC for pedals. I got a set from him for my nephew's 65 Sport Deluxe a year or so ago. He may have more. If not, let me know. I think I can likely find a set if I ask around. The 4 speed is the same as any other Chevy from 64 to 74 (with a couple of minor variations) as long as it's a Muncie (they are all aluminum case, not cast iron like a Saginaw)

Thanks a million Carl. If you can start your quest for some pedals that would be great!! sounds like the gear box wont be too hard to find. The hard part with such limited numbers will be finding a STD console! thank goodness I am not building an original car! A 4 gear would be sweet in this beast!!
Yes, I will poke around for pedals. I know my neighbour did have a set last year and I have to run over to his place sine day soon to pay him for some sockets I pulled out of a wrecked Beaumont he has.
They will have come from a 66 Nova. I am going to check but I am pretty sure it's 62-66 that all fit. I know 67 is different.
