Exhaust Manifold Clearance?

Planning on putting a mid 70's 305 into a 64 Laurentian driver I have......will the later exhaust manifolds clear the frame,engine crossmember,etc?

Had a quick look & it appears they might?

Why not avoid any issues and go with original type ram horns.

 The 305 is a "runner" & that's what's on it.....

The 64 currently has NO exhaust currently...

It's a 4dr (Laurentian) & tentatively sold...

 THREE good reasons.

OK,that's good to know, but I thought that the 69 Nova would have had a different frame than the 64 fullsize cars did?

you'll spend lots of dollars on custom exhaust , it will have to be hand built. the exhaust has to cross under the before the X of the frame. IT can be done with the 305 exhaust..but be aware of the pitfall.

So Rog, 2 $10 ram horns would probably save time and money ?

Just a thought but be careful with the oil pan too. Depending on what the 305 came out of it may not seat itself properly on the '64 frame. Just thinking out loud (sorta).

I figured there MAY be a "glitch".........I guess the center dump Ram's horns give some added clearance for that sharp turn that the exhaust pipe must make to clear the frame.

I do still have the front exhaust pipes off the 305....will have to "eyeball" the fit.

 Thanks for the TIP.

Unfortunately for you I gave my last pair of ram horns to a young CP member and delivered them too.
