Beaumont SD 396 Convertible Purchase

I know this is looking for a needle in the haystack,...and hopefully I've put this topic in the right Beaumont section,.....but If anybody on the Poncho site here, knows of a SD 396 Beaumont Convertible that may be available, I would be very interested in purchasing one. I've been off this site for a few years and have only recently got back on, and loving both Canadian built and Canadian documented cars,.....it's hard to beat a Beaumont,... then even a BB 396 Beaumont... I know this is a long shot, but if anyone can help,.... it would be you guys... In order of preference, I'd say 1966 is first choice, 67 is second and a 68 SD is third, BUT ALL 3 YEARS ARE GREAT !! Thx guys Bob Chaisson

Welcome Bob.
Yes, you are looking for a needle in a haystack but there has been the odd one on here (or at least discussed on here).

I've done both, would prefer to have a driver,.....but for the right car , i will do the Restoration for sure.. Just as you guys know, unless you can do a lot of the work yourself, or have lots of talented buddies, that like to help out..haha.. Ie that beautiful butternut yellow 68 SD convertible car that Trucker is doing the restoration on, that had that terrible incident, I would do in a second ! By the right car , I mean hopefully it has all it's trim, drivetrain, etc etc,the usual wish list..

Bob, welcome back to the site. I'm not sure how many 396 Beaumont convertibles are left but I would guess between 30 and 50. Finding one that the owner is willing to sell is going to be tough. Good luck with your search.
James

Yea, I'm mainly interested in a BB, but I am going to go take a look at the one in Edmonton Kijiji , small block Aztec Bronze, real nice looking pics, mid $30's...

I'm always gonna be wanting a BB, so I'll be patient

Is that the one with the aftermarket mirrors and the "custom" wooden armrests? If so, it was parked at the Edm Iron Indians show this past fall. Perhaps someone from the show might be able to chime in on it?...

I know of a 67 big block convertible. I haven't talked to the owner for a while but the last time we talked he said he wouldn't take less than $60,000. If you are interested I will contact him.
