Had a Ph. call on the car. Fellow wants it BUT has to sell 3 more of his 'project' cars!!! Sold one just before he called!!![1 down 3 to go] I said he could come out & see it anytime Or just call back to see if I stilll have it!! Sounded like a good guy but we'll see??? Least it wasn't a call to trade something I don't want!!!!

A nice car like that should find a good home and an appreciative buyer. I'm sure it will happen.

Pete that is such a beautiful 64 Cat you got there. Any one that knows a good car and a good deal, should know that you are being very reasonable. Even in todays crappy market....... come on a car like this is a sweet deal. Get in, drive and show and then drive and show some more. The best of luck trading for that special car or wagon. All good things come to those who are patient and wait. The only thing is, i hope your blood presure is ok having to deal with certain types of Kijiji folks. Good luck Pete. Cheers. George.

Thanks George,as I said in the add, "I don't have to sell it" so I can wait & see if a buyer or a decent trade comes along!!! Just have to LAUGH at the people that "CAN"T READ" with the trade offers of "STUFF" that I don't need or want & nothing near what I prefered in the add!! Last one was the Mid. 8o's Monster Mudder Truck!!!

Yes the basic skill of reading, seems to really tax and strain many of the folks who respond to Kijiji ads. Reading skills is not required when answering Kijiji ads, so it seems. Pete you might as well ask to trade your 64 Cat for a litter of cats, for some of the Kijiji folks out there. By the way i am trying to be as polite as i can possibly be, when concerning some of the Kijiji folks. I have hundreds of automotive ads on Kijiji and i am very thankful that i have both patience and a sense of humour. With out those two talents.......  forget about posting ads in Kijiji. cheers. George.

1955-1956-1957 Chevrolet parts, original automotive dealer brochures for most makes from 1955 to 1971, original dealer item memorabilia for 1955-1956-1957 Chevrolets, car magazines from 1950's, 1960's and 1970's, a tow bar, a punching bag, an extra 261 inline six, a large CARS movie poster, old licence plates, my soul. Kijiji has been good to me because i have sold a very large number of quality stuff and continue to do so. It takes time and effort but for me it is worth it. Cheers. George.

I had a ph. call out of the blue Fri,seems this fellows friend gave him my # after seeing my add. He knew nothing about the car or price just that it was 64 Catalina!! He's been looking for a 64 Chevy SS but can't afford the prices out there. Anyway he & a friend came out Fri. afternoon, looked the car over, heard it run & ran a magnet all over the car & didn't find any BONDO!!  Said I wasn't hiding anything jacked it up & they looked underneath. He said it's the best car he's seen & needs a couple of days to think about it, so that's where we stand now!! Think he really wants a S/S but they all seem over priced & all had BONDO in them!!!!  Just 'givin' a up-date!!  Pete

Sounds promising. Who would not want a 64 Pontiac 2+2 with a red bucket seat interior? Beautiful car. Good luck.

Well he called me back today, it's a "NO GO" he really wants a CHEVY S/S!!! Looks like what was said a long time ago in a thread here " A Bow Tie " will sell, where a Pontiac WON"T!!!! Told him there was one in Old Autos for $52000 or one south of me for the cheap price of $61000 + a few around the $25 to $30 g's that were adv. earlier this yr. Oh well I could put some Bow Tie emblems on it??? Don't really care, it's such a nice cruiser & Hwy. car, I may just swap back & forth with the Torpedo back!!! Pete

For what it's worth I'd rather have your Pontiac - and I am also a 64 Chevy fan.

Heres a question?? I've had 2 people that know my 64 well from the shows & cruise inns, both are saying I'm selling it "TOO CHEAP" Could it be that potential "buyers or traders' think theres something wrong with the car??? because of the price!!! I really think it's just the market that "SUCKS" or too early in the season!!!

Pete, it is the market that sucks and it is too early in the season. Who wants to buy a car, just to have to store it. For most folks, it will be two more months before cruising season starts. I have no doubt that you will get more activity once spring is here. Spring time when a mans fancy turns to............. buying a classic car, what else? Oh ya i almost forgot, it also turns to ladies like your sweet avatar. Good luck with the sale of that sweet Cat and cheers. George.
