If I'm correct the body of the wheeldisc is identical to the US GTO disc but the center spinner doesn't have Pontiac Motor Division embossed on it. Canadian ones are plain? 65 SD caps are the same thing and will exchange with 65 Tempest caps except the spinner difference.

Well I am biased to them as I think they are the best looking spinner hubcap out there. Having said that they are tough to find in good condition and they don't come cheap. I ended up buying some gto ones here and there and then picked up some poorer beaumont ones for the spinners. I may be able to find a set of drivers for you but I don't have an extra full set that is really good. I also have promised a member here a cap but haven't had time to sort through mine.

As you say the spinners are unique to 64 Beaumont SD. They do show up in the weirdest of places and occasionally at flea markets. My experience is that vendors rather like them even if they don't know what they fit - but do price them on the expensive side. That said I've paid as low as $5 and as high as $20 for the spinners. Can usually find the disks state side.

Set of real nice ones on ebay now for a buy it now price of $600. That price doesn't seem out of line for what I have seen some go for.

Yes, the lettering was used on the U.S. versions that said "Pontiac Motor Division". The Canadian versions didn't have any lettering since they were used on the Acadian Beaumont Sport Deluxe. I guess it wasn't a product of the "Pontiac Motor Division", otherwise it should have said so. Right? devilish.gif

Here are pictures of each. I took these in 2006 when I saw them both on one car.

Fill in the letters with lead or something and have them plated.

if your going to fill them in.. sand blast them first.. the chrome in the letters is a really good "non stick" surface that loves to spit out the product you just put in.
Not that I know this from experience or anything.. LOL

Kelly, we really need you to quit your job and do Canadian Poncho reproduction parts. You have the skill and knowledge, and lots of us need repro parts because the original stuff is impossible to find!

How about it?!

X2. I need some lower potmetal CS trim for my '64 Parisienne cast/reproed! biggrin

I bet, after being properly prepped Cold Weld epoxy would fill in the lettering on those spinners. Then you could smooth them down, and cast or chrome them.
