The '67 "Expo-ish" ones are especially cool looking.

No '64 cry.    Just kidding Mark, I have some I can post.

Does anyone know if most of the late 50's through the 60's GM brochure illustrations were Art Fitzpatric and Van Kaufman?

Most of the more detailed ones certainly look in that style, but it might just be that other illustrators were following that trend.

I have been collecting brochures for nearly 45 years. Most have made it, but not all. Anyway, since this is a Canadian site I will throw out this interesting Canadian advertising mailer tidbit. I attended Expo 67 in Montreal and have vague memories of it. Check out the snowbound 1967 Chevy series 60 chassis-cab attached.

I also scanned and joined the 1967 Acadian brochure and put it in the lounge somewhere. I see it made it to The Old Car Manual Project, although I had only shared it with you Candianponcho folks. Good, it should be shared.

2 pages joined, more needs to follow:

O.K., I need to share. This is the Canadian Pontiac site, and I do support the efforts.

This is a mailer that came in the Canadian Magazine, a colour supplement in the Hamilton Spectator. It also would have come in the Weekend magazine, a colour supplement in the Globe & Mail.  I wanted to clean it up before posting, but hey, now its out there.

Note the Astre SD and its emblems. This is mid-year 1973 stuff. The Astre SD was a Salon Deluxe. Note the fender & glove box emblem. SD396 anyone? The woodgrain on the Astre wagon was a mid-year release as well. I remember 2 in the close vicinity when I was still growing up.

Notice the Ventura lists engine options as 250, 307 & 350. For 1973 only the Canadian Ventura had the 307 Chevy power., even though all Venturas were built in Ohio. There were 2 different grilles offered that year, and this gives the documentation to prove it. The optional grille in 1973 became the new standard grille for 1974, and the grille used on the 1974 Ventura-based GTO.

Beside the obvious awesome truck, the next big thing Cameron is the tape on the windows and the temporary fence in the background. Expo 67 was under constuction no less!!

Those Chevy medium duty trucks were the workhorse back then. They were everywhere. I drove a lighter duty one for Longo's fruit market in Burlington in 77. No automatics back then!

Great grab.

Heres a unique Canadian mailer. Looking at the address I can see that it was sent to our old address. We had moved to a new Ancaster address in late December 1970. There is a Ventura II coupe (obviously replacing the early 1971 Acadian), the Firenza (not sold in the U.S.; the 1971 version of the Vauxhall Viva / Epic), plus a Parisienne.

I would have had several earlier mailers, but as I said, we moved in 1970 so the older stuff got pitched then.

Here is the 1971 Acadian brochure. These cars were so similar to the Nova that year that even the rear panel trim on Custom Exterior or SS models was changed that year to the same as on the corresponding Nova. The 350 badge was shared with the Nova as well, plus those finned Custom Wheel Covers were shared with Chevy. Standard small hubcaps were baby moon style with a red Maple Leaf in the center. I haven't seen one since 1983.

The cars were only sold in Canada, yet they rolled off the line in the U.S. (Lordsdown, Ohio I think).

The Acadian was discontinued mid-year and replaced with the Ventura II, available both in Canada & the U.S.
