Convertible top question

I recently saw photos of a 68/69 Beaumont or Chevelle with a new top and a plastic rear window

Is this unusual or stock?

I was wondering if a glass window was a option?

My Corvette has a glass window   I'd hate to have to get a plastic one for it

Glass windows were mostly installed on cars where the top doesn't come down very often and the air conditioning is on. The glass has a much higher R value. Top down actually provides the best visibility.

Seems like no need to explain it to you as you have it figured.  You are lucky as you have 2 options. I only have one,  if I put my top up all I get is shade.
