RE: 1967 Beaumont moredoor in Calgary on kijiji

I was curious to know what kind of money the owner was looking at getting so i emailed him, here's his response.

Hi Randy

I'm actually not sure what its value is yet, perhaps you can give me some indication of what you paid for yours and what others sell for. The car was purchased from GSL Cheverolet here in Calgary, original bill of sale of course goes with the car.

thanks

Brad

He may sell for a reasonable price after all if i tell him what i paid.

If i had money, space, and time to get it, i would. How cool to have two the same colour, one post and one hardtop. If i really had money i'd also get the two door that i saw for sale on kijiji that need resto. All three same colour and all Customs. I'm happy with the one i have, hopefully someone here grabs that one out in Calgary.

Looks like a nice clean car overall.  If it is priced near what you got yours for, it should sell, hopefully to somebody who will take it out and enjoy it as it was meant to be.

Nice car!

By the way, here's a car that I see around locally during the summer cruise season... thought you might find it interesting. smile

It looks relatively clean for 120,000 miles. Be a good father/son project car, low cost of entry. Plus would save some GM Canada history.

Has anyone ever done a "one of none" SD 396 four door?

That would be something! A hardtop would be a good base for it too IMO.

I got a email from the owner implying he would like over $5?
So he is somewhat reasonable. Just a tough market right now.

Cool,  just over 500,  hit the nail on the head there.

FYI, the door panels are the same as 67 chevelle, and now being reproduced for 4dr and wagons, from PUI,  cheapish.  looks like a good solid car,  if you want a 4dr HT.  nice survivor condition,  to bad about the dash and doorpanels,  but fixable.

I have some good black ones and blue ones from a 4dr, if anyone needs good originals.

In all honesty this thing should be priced at 1500, take what you can get,  its all because its a 4dr HARD TOP,  belive it or not,  the hardtop is WAY less desireable than a 4dr SEDAN,  after all,  just go look at a 4dr HT,  its ugly as hell, the roof line is wrong, teh back window is out to lunch, and its got lots of funky bracing and crap going on underneath.  Not to mention all the rattles, i mean talk about a structual disaster in the making, especially if it gets rusty.

Dang it, I like 4 dr hartops!  Structural disaster may be overstating it a little, though, as convertibles seem to do just fine without a roof.  Less strong than a sedan, no argument there, but not necessarily a disaster any more than anything else when it's very rusty.

Not intending to argue... I'd buy it in a flash for $1500!

On the topic of the door panels, are they repairable?

They seem like something that would be quite a rarity to replace and look to be in excellent condition other than the cutouts for the speakers. cry

Just wondering if anybody has ever repaired panels like this, i.e. building up the contours with new material and re-skinning them with vinyl?
