Skirts or no skirts!

Looks like you HAVE to run skirts   Are they original or date coded close to the build?

I made some progress so I decided to get back on here with a question.  Rear fender skirts or not on the 66 Grande?

Here are pictures of both setups.  (The skirt is not aligned well as I don't have the locater slots on yet  but you get the idea.)

Do you have the chrome for the fender without?    if you do  I'd vote for no skirts

On the other hand if all GP came with them then maybe they should be ON   lol

you chose  no you chose.... no you chose....

As i understand it the rear wheel chrome was only on the 65's C'S's.  My bro has a couple and I want to try that setup out for sure.

They came with the car so.... I guess I ll have to try em at least. I think it would look better without if I had a taller rear tire.

Tough call Ken. A couple of friends stopped by here today and were looking at my GP. We had exactly the same discussion!

Definitely skirts with the stock wheel covers. I am honestly 50/50 on what looks better with the rallys on there.

Either way, it's gotta be one of the sexiest cars ever designed!

I've been staring at this on my screen for the last 5 minutes and I'm still undecided!

For the record Ken, while I have been staring at this, our son came over to look. He just changed his opinion on fender skirts, which he has disliked until now. He also thinks the wheels look great and tells me he loves your colour even more than the black I have!

Because it's the era that came with them, I think you've gotta go with them! It's like redlines... I love them but they only belong on the correct era.
The good news is that there's no bad decission as the car looks great either way!

EXCEPT: is there a way to cut a spare set of wheel well chrome so it can be used with the skirts? So it fills in the spots in front and behind the skirt?
