Rare Project Convertible For Sale, Needs complete restoration, Also "A" Body 68-72 Convertible Frame for Sale

I have a 1968 Chevelle Convertible For Sale, Super Rare 1 of 12 Built By GM.

This is a undocumented L-79 model 327 325 HP 4 Speed Convertible with 4 Piston Disc Brakes, F40 Suspension, Factory 6000 RPM Redline Tach and Gauges(Very Rare), Rally Wheels, Buckets & Console, Power Conv. Top, all factory optioned Car.
The car is a US car. It was raced at New England Dragway in the late Sixties to early Seventies.
The old decals are still on the 1/4 windows including a Class winner decal that was issued only in the late sixties and early seventies as they changed design of the decals.
The car is missing the original drive train. There is a not running 283 in there now and no transmission and a 10 bolt  rear end.
The car  is rolling. There is no carpet and the convertible top (material only) has been removed
Here are the items on the car that show it is a L-79:
     - Factory Tach and gauges with 6000 redline (only L-79 and L78 had this redline)
    - Factory 4 Speed (all L-79 cars in 68 and maybe all years were 3 or 4 Speed Manual shift)
   - The fuel line from front to back is the original 3/8" diameter line ( High Horsepower cars only)
  - The rear axle has the Extra reinforcement brackets on the upper rear arms.
 - The car still has the 621 Bellhousing (heavy duty clutch bellhousing)
 - The car is a Manual steering car (many high Horse cars had manual steering)
Here are some other options on the car:
 - Factory Bucket seats and console (buckets are not in picture but are included.
- The car was originally Ermine White with a White Convertible Top and Red interior.
- Power Top
- Factory correct 4 piston disc brakes
- There is a Big Block hood on the car.
- Factory Rally Wheels, 14 X 6 Disc Brake wheels, all dated 68 code XB
-Rear Antenna
- 3 of the Original T-3 headlights
The car has all the original interior in it. But will all need re-done.
All original windows are still in doors
All the convertible chrome trim is in very good shape.
All Grille and headlight bezels are also in very good shape.
Bumpers are in good shape also but would need rechromed for a show car good for a driver car.
The car sat for many years and will require Floor, inners, quarters, doors, fenders, rad support, The trunk floor had been oiled and is actually in good shape.
This will require a complete restoration, great project.
I bought it as a L-79 Car and there is no reason not to be a L-79 because of the items listed above.
Nicely optioned 68 Chevelle 4 Speed Convertible. $4500.00.
   Car is located in Calgary.

all year L79s were manual shift, 4 or 3 spds

4 spd cars had the upper arm reinforcement braces

should've had a 12 bolt rear

either or, 10.5/11" clutch

a few L79 fans here wink post a couple pictures!

2drpost. You are correct, I shoud have worded the description different. They were available with 3 and 4 speeds. The 12 bolt is long gone like the rest of the powertrain.  They just left the upper reinforcement braces there.

I am going to check out the distributor number that is in the 283 and see if by chance they left the L-79 one in the engine.  I am at work right now and I will post some pictures later tonight.
