......well here's the story......I spot this nice set of 4 x hub caps that Carl was looking to sell and PM Carl to sort out $ for freight and $ for caps - these are difficult to get here down under..........Carl was happy for me to pay the freight charges only and after several messages he agreed to "whatever I thought for the caps".................all good, and off to Australia they go..........I check in with Carl to see how the freight progress was going only to learn that in fact I'll be getting 8 x hub caps (2 sets) with no expectation of additional payment for the additional set - fantastic................so they arrive - caps are good to go and only need minimal repair - Im a happy man - then at the bottom of the freight box I find, a magazine, stickers, cards, a hot wheel car, muscle car calendar etc etc etc............I contact Carl again to thank him, arrange payment for freight, and payment for the caps .................he'll only take payment for the freight and says if I give him any more $ he'll return it!! .................thanks Carl - you're a legend!!!!!
Carl is one of those rare guys who has learned it is better to give than to receive and that is what seems to give him his greatest joy. Wish we could all could be that generous. Thanks for the great example there Carl.
