Checked in my Pontiac Parts book.

The clips listed numbers for a 2 door sedan and a 2 door hardtop are different and I do believe the rear glass is not the same.

Numbers for 4 door Pontiacs are different again.

I would have thought all 62,63,64 GM models would have the same corresponding #'s...maybe it depends on where the car was made....different supplier.

(*) * quanity required

2 door sedan # upper 4845393 (10)

                      # lower 4814279 (6)    (think this is center clips)

                     # lower 4845393 (10) (same as top)

2 door hardtop # upper 4815949

                         # center  4876634

                         # lower  4815949 (same as top)

Is the rear window different in a '64 2 door post car as opposed to a '64 2 door non-post car? If so, I  might have the clips out of a 2 door '64 non-post Parisienne.

2 door '64 Parisiennes, Laurentians, Strato Chiefs, all take the same rear window ... don't they?

I thought 2 door '64 Impalas, Biscaynes, and Belairs also used the same rear window.

Gentlemen, thank you for your time,Greaser the part numbers are a great help, now knowing that there are different numbers and post cars are stand alone,if you happen to be looking in your book again can you check for front clips also, the 454 is ready to drop in and paint right after,if I can find all the right clips might as well pull front trim as well. Thanks again

Rick,

I still find it kind of odd that sedan clips are different than hardtop clips.

Can you post some pictures of the clips you need (both front & rear) and I'll compare them to my '64 Parisienne hardtop (non-post car) clips.

I know for a fact that a '63 Impala hardtop's clips are exactly the same as a '64 Parisienne hardtop's. So are ALL the window trim pieces (back, front and both sides).

Well the roof on a Two door hardtop and a Two door post car are completely different, so no surprise that the glass does not swap, not even the side (quarter) glass. However you will find that the FOUR door sedan and the TWO door sedan do use the same rear(back) window glass. I think that the FOUR door hardtop rear(back)glass may swap with the Two door or Four door sedan.  Some measuring could nail that pretty quick. Hope this helps .
