RE: No front brake pressure after disc swap

This might be a silly question, but have you checked with the manufacturer of the kit?  I think above you say it's an mbm kit.     Keep in mind the front disc calipers require a lot more fluid than the rear brake cylinders, hence typically a much larger resevoir for the front brakes.   Also, proportioning valve is used to regulate fluid distribution to the front and back.

That pic was before I ran the rear line.

The fronts have seperate lines off the prop valve.

For some reason I think when I figure it out, its gonna be something simple.

Had it all apart this weekend for the trans swap.

Checked the m/c bore, its a 1". From what ive re searched a 1" is for manual brakes. I should have a super touchy pedal according to a few articles I read as well. Which I dont. Just a soft, long travel of the pedal.

Also I found that 1 1/8" mc's were used on power brake applications.

So a larger bore mc will take more pedal effort and have less travel and will push more fluid correct? And just the opposite for a smaller bore mc?

Is it possible Im not getting enough fluid to the front brakes?

I forgot to grab the part number of the mc to check with mbm, Ill have to check that next.

Found another thread about booster push rod length. Mine came with 2 rods. It has the short one in there now. That could be the cause of the long pedal travel it seems to have. I do have the spacer that fits into the mc installed as well. I'll have to maybe try the longer rod and see what happens

Got er all figured, put a 1 1/8" M/C of a 70's C10, seems to work great now. A nice firm pedal.

Thanks guys.
