Ditto. They didn't do much for me when they came out in '82.
A friend of mine traded in his '71 Vette LT1 'vert on the new (for then, 1982) Firebird. His '82 had so many rattles (the glass hatch), and alot of body flex around fast corners.

When I worked at a car cot years ago, we had an '88 GTA come in on trade and an '88 'Vette. My boss would always let me take the cars for gas or whatever. One day I took the GTA, the next, the Vette. He asked what I thought about each car. Told him I thought the GTA was Faster and handled better. Never did like them though.

looks to be in good shape - shouldn't be hard to get a hatchback for it - have a unique car that all the cruise night lawyers will tell you is not original - hell I woulda thought it was aftermarket - but then the convertibles were sort of aftermarket too
