these are full quarter panals from a 1965 sport with part of the roof still atactched I like to know how would I go about it? as I have these quarters now would I cut the full lengh of the quarter from door to back end and mig the panal on to mine after mine are cut out as the wheel well is rusted and filled with bondo and to much work to go back into it as the replacement quarters are in real good shape.

Hello

I used a full quarter panel from a 65 2dr on my 66 2dr the fit was exactly the same. I did the whole thing from tailend to the door. Since I had the entire panel from top to bottom I cut it about an inch down from the top edge. You just have to be very patient with the welding so as not to distort the whole thing. Once I was satisfied with the fit I started spot welds at about ever six inches then half it on the next pass. If you have a good compressor you can do it closer by doing a weld and then blow the air on it to cool. This is the side that was done, sorry the only picture that I can find. Hope this is of some help!

Gary

Hello

Glad to be of some help here!

That picture seems so long ago. At that point I never thought that it would ever be finished. Good things do come to those that are patient.
