Don't call me...maybe...1967-1968 Repro Quarters coming...(American)

Thought it would interest those with 67/68 Pontiacs.....I assume they are close enough to be the same....I might be right, but then I could be crazy.hmm

Possibly1967-1968 Repro Quarters Coming

May 7th, 2013

I must stress this is a maybe situation.  At a recent swap meet here in St. Paul, I purchased an NOS 1967 Bonneville LH Quarter Panel.  Somebody had started to mount it using screws.  Most of the EDP paint is missing however it is straight and can be used to make a pattern for not only Bonnevilles, but Catalina and Grand Prixs.  I receive about three calls a week looking for quarters for 67 Grand Prix convertibles.  OK, the goal now is to get it to my buddy Mike in Detroit to get started.  Mike is able to reverse-engineer this for the RH side.  As with previous quarter panel projects, the panels will be the full length and go up to the belt-line only.  About 3 above the wheel well opening.  The indentation at the rear will not be on these panels as it is too hard to make.  All other contours will be correct.   I am just letting you know that this maybe in the pipeline.  Please do not start writing or calling to find out when these might be out.  Any information will be posted on the site.   Trying hard to get all the quarters done from 61 to 68.  Still looking for an NOS 61 and 62 quarter panel.  One more thing.the freight on these is quite a bit of money.  Please remember that when you do order.  I have no control over this cost.  I find that Fed Ex Ground is the best route for long, goofy shipments.  Thanks and take care.  LK  5 -7-2013

I was excited when I read this thread and wondering if anybody heard any more. My 67 is Canadian but if they can be made to work I think this would be the way to go. Anyone's input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, great site with lots of useful info...

If it's a Bonneville 1/4 panel, it's 'way" too long for a catalina, or cdn' Poncho!!! Only way to use it is to cut a section out from behind the whl/ opening. Carefull measuring & comparing before you cut. If I remember right, when I compared my 64 Catalina to friends 64 Bonni, there is "quite" a difference in the length!!!!!

i have one nos 65 bonny panel from what i can tell the cut has to come out of the center and that really sucks, 65 66 might be the oddball though

You are saying a 64 "American Catalina" and a 64 American Bonneville are "quite a difference in length"   as in more than 3 inches ??

I'd say so ... and they have a different mid body line.

A  '64 Catalina and '64 Parisienne quarters are different also.

A '64 Bonneville's ribbed lower trim is identical in style to a '64 Parisienne Custom Sport's ribbed lower trim. I know a guy that cut Bonneville trim to fit his '64 Custom Sport (but you have to do an accurate job). I bought a piece of cut Bonny trim in a lot of Parisienne CS trim ... that's when he told me about what he did.
