1969 Parisienne Convertible for sale (not mine) near Tillsonburg Ontario


I heard about this car for sale last week.

The owner did not want put it for sale online.

I had to go for a drive today out of curiosity.

Its for sale for good reasons.

I am not going to post the number online but members can PM me if the are interested.

He is asking $15,000 as appraised but I think this fall it may be a better deal.

It was pretty cool to have the two cars together and compare smile

There is a car show in Tillsonburg  so I got see some other cool stuff on the way back.

The car looks good. Any body work in the past? How were the floors? How many miles?

The body is rust free but has had work.

350/350 turbo trans.

Odometer shows 64,000 miles but he could not say if it was 64 or 164.

The frame looked great with no signs of repair.

I could not see any floor repairs but I did ask.

Note the original front seat !

Love the red interior. Doesn't show marks like mine.

The "no options" on mine really shows.

But who needs a clock anyways biggrin

 I think you may have noticed that mine ended up only one colour.

I can add the darker grey next winter.

my trim rings were just too banged up to use.

Canadian style are on my wish list smile

I always wondered what my old project 69 might look like when done! Nice! 15 appraised eh? I like it.

As with the narrower track Cp's, some nice wheels and a better stance would go a long way in giving this car a solid attitude..

I notice it also has a rare good nose piece alignment. Critical..lol!

 'Rust Free' is a term that should be reserved for those that have 'never' been rusted

'no rust' is a better term for one that has been previously repaired

They might look comparable at first glance, but the addition of stick on bodyside moldings on the 69 might mean it underwent some major panel work. Usually to the point the trim holes got so messed up the original trim could not be re fitted. Or it is simply a indication of the loss of the trim at some point. To me those original SS moldings are paramount. And why no WW trim? Still yet to be fitted? Or has the WW shape been lost to the point they don't fit right?. The 69 also has had what appears to be a decent underhood freshen up, with some indication of the firewall seam being repaired.

The 70 certainly looks to me be the more original of the two. But I'd love either.

The 10,000 mile 70 is a stand alone.
Don't think many B-bodys are around like it no mater the year.
This car was more of a fun search of a rumour.
We all have become so used to just sitting behind a screen.
This one was fun to hit my gear shift "Search" button on my Pontiac and go look for it.
The appraised values can mislead sellers in this tough market.
The car has lost it's original trim during a body job that predates this owner.
I do think the car will be for sale for a long time.
I had told the seller I would post it on the site.
I wasn't there to run the car down.
I would love to tell the rest of the story on this one but that's a in person story I'll share at lunch today at Louie's.
