I recently became the 2nd owner of this car.  The ONLY part I need to pass the safety inspection is the black plastic (?) handle on the top of the ratchet piece of metal.  To put it more clearly, perhaps, if you want to pull on the parking brake, you reach down under the dash and grab the "handle" and pull the brake on.  I don't know if this piece is available separately; or if I need to buy a whole assembly; or if another year/model part will fit.  I'd appreciate some advice.

Also, who do you recommend for the best assortment/stock of new/used parts for my car?  All opinions welcome!

I have checked out Antique Chevrolet Parts in Dundas, Ontario, Canada.

Our sponsor the Tin Man might be able to help!

Thanks to all of you for the advice. I believe in shopping with our supporters. Tried Tin Man, who coincidentally only is about 20 miles from me. ALL his cars do not have the item! However, he advised of another local merchant: Peninsula Restorations www.peninsularestoration.com (Sidney, BC) and I was able to order one from there.
Thanks also for the advice about Parts123.com. They also had one, but I decided to shop locally. No doubt I will shop almost everywhere at some time!
