finally putting the new eastwood buffer to work.I did some practice pieces first but now on to the good stuff.Both rear door trims had big creases in them so found a couple better replacement that needed sanding and polishing.Knocked the few little dings out then on to sanding.Started with 80 grit,then 180 and 240 by hand.Then onto my da for 1000,1200,and 1500.Then onto the buffer wheel for 3 stages of buffing.Alot of work but the results are pretty decent.Took a before and after to show what I started with and finished with.I did noyice one funny thing when I removed the trim from the ps rear door.It looks like this door has been replaced with one from a 54 chevy or something somewhere along the way.A different color and trim pattern was revealed.Oh if the cars could only talk.I wil
Good job on them. I think that is one of the biggest advantages of these older cars is the restoration of these trim parts. That also is one of my favorite parts of a resto. It always is a little bit of an education along the way too.
