Oh, and of course any Turbo 400 B body in 66 was a big block. If it has both sets of crossmember mounts on the frame it was a rat, assuming they weren't welded on by someone later.

I know in 67 you could get a 327 with the Turbo 400 as a special order but not in 66?

Another thing a guy could do is try a 283 engine mount on the frame stand for the mount. A 283/327 mount is slightly narrower and shorter (height) vs. a big block mount. (At least I hope I am remembering that right, I know there is a difference and I think that's how it goes.)

No, that only indicates F40 I think because my black 283 GP has 2 upper arms on the 3.31 12 bolt.

Maybe look for an exclamation mark after the V8 symbol on the fender!
