63 Invader Update

I finally broke down and spent some money on the Invader. Over the past few weeks I have replaced the leaking heater core that has been leaking longer than I've owned it, rubber floor mat and part of the rear seat cover. The passenger side floor had some small holes in it caused by the wet insulation. Rather than going through the trouble and expense of replacing the floorpan, I cleaned it up and laid fibreglass cloth over the area. I also polished and waxed it. Check out the pics.

good job, see you were smart enough to put the kick panel vents in before the heater core !!
i forgot that step and had a hell of a time getting the passenger one in !

Looking nice and clean! There is a "KL" marked in grease pencil on your tranny hump ... wonder what it means?

My heater core has been bypassed for the same reason for a few years now.

I'm not sure whether it is "KL" or "KC". Up close it looks more like a quickly written "KC". I think it might have been the worker who did a spot check on the assembly line.

Thanks guys for the comments.

Lefty, the kick panel had to go in before the front mat which sits on top of the bottom folded part of the kick pad. If I put the heater box in first, not only would I have the problem of getting the kick pad in but I would never have been able to trim the almost three inches off the front edge of the mat so it would fit.
