Crappy cell phone pics from a friend who is touring the NWT.  Interesting, never the less...

In the territories of all places. Used to work in Yellowknife and Fort Simpson, great memories. Did a stint of 5 months straight through up there.

I live in Yellowknife. These cars are just up the road from me. I have had my eye on these cars for years... The hardtop has a 64 rear end with a 65 front end. There are two wagons, both '64s, one has the front end and doors stripped off and the other '64 wagon has the front corner smashed up. I stopped in and asked about them a few weeks ago, the owner is out of town until September. There are some good parts but they are in rough shape.

Here I am off topic again but does CBC still have a studio up there.  The company I was working for was building it way back when.  I also just about drowned in the Yellowknife river when we flipped our canoe and even in July that water is pretty cold.

Small world (but I wouldn't want to paint it)!  Any idea what gives with the police lights?

Yes, CBC sure does have a studio up here. All the NWT waters are pretty cold, even in July... flipping a canoe in the river wouldn't be fun!!

I was finally able to get in contact with the owner, he has been away all summer. I went by last night and had a look. Pretty cool collection!

-The '64 Wagon with the damaged front end was his dads car, the goal is to restore that one. Its a 327, 4-speed car. A really really cool hot rod wagon!
-He bought the other wagon (stripped one) for the frame, its a '65 body, pulled the doors and front end off in the process of stripping it down.
- Bought the 'cop' car for parts, its a '64 body but has a '65 front end. He pulled the '64 front end off to replace the damaged on on the '64 wagon, but all the neighbors were giving him shit about the 'junk' laying around unfinished, so he threw the front end off the '65 onto the '64 body, so that explains it.
-I confirmed that the cop lights are not actually drilled to the roof, they are just resting on top. He said he found the lights and threw them up there for fun, but they arent holes or anything.
-The '64 hardtop is a Beaumont Deluxe, and is mostly complete (minus the front end he pulled off for the wagon) but is in pretty rough shape.
-He sold me the '65 Grille and eyebrows (hell yea!)
