HOW HARD IS IT TO BRING A CAR FROM CANADA TO THE US WITHOUT PAPER WORK?


thanks  I heard the car has no paper work but nott sure..will have to call the owner the car in in a yard..i live in Tumwater Washington..i think ii has vin tags..butt not sure about the ownership papers..do I just need a bill of sale if theres no title?

I HAVENT BOUGHT A CAR OUT OF A DIFFRENT COUNTRY I VE TOLD BY SOME CANADIANS I MIGHT HAVE A PROBLEM,, WITH CUSTOMS..AT TTHE BORDER THE CAR WOULD BE A PARTS CAR..

if its going to the U.S. and you're a U.S. citzen and it has its vin tags/ownership and is a domestic product there is no problem

No, I am pretty sure you would need to have an ownership signed over to you, even for a parts car. Otherwise, you have no way to prove it's not stolen.

I was wrong once before though......

if it has a vin tag the wrecker can get an ownership from the MTO, you will need it to cross the boarder

If the car is in bc, I that what  their their talking about is transfer of title papers. 

 

It can be a pain to get those in bc.  So I've heard..
