Hi guys I am making progress on the car but I have decided that I really need to tackle the job I have been kind of putting off for months as I have never done one before and am kind of nervous about it. Only one chance to get it right but once I get it done I can quickly finish the interior and get it on the road!
I have to salvage the perfect matchiing black head liner from my parts 67 Grande first and then stick it in the 66.
Sounds like good thoughts, thanks. The liner is in an AC car with tinted glass and is in really nice shape. Its amazing really. Some traces of mice under the seats in the car since the winter so I'm a bit nervous about what's up there.
I'll start early in the morning to get it out and then work inside my garage where it's nice and cool and the light is pretty good.
Taking it it slow seems to have worked OK. Its in except for the side trim which I hope will take some of last wrinkles out. Didn't rip any thing which is good. I must say the replacement held up pretty well for a 45 year old piece of cloth. Sure looks like a car now instead of a demo derby unit.
I'm in love with it again wrinkles and all-just like my wife-don't ever let her know I said that!
